The fashion label Marni is the last Italian brand which has announced a collaboration with high-street store H&M. The campaign of their collection has been signed by director Sofia Coppola, as announced on Thursday.

The spring collection of clothing and accessories for women and men will go on sale in over 260 stores worldwide and online from March 8th. The campaigns directed by Coppola, which were shot in Marrakech in October, will appear in cinemas worldwide and online at the beginning of 2012.

“I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favorite pieces in signature fabrics and prints,” said Marni’s founder and director Consuelo Castiglioni. “As always, I love juxtaposing prints and colours, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic adding sporty utilitarian elements.”

“I enjoyed doing this film for the Marni at H&M collaboration,” Coppola said. “I think it’s great how they make fashion accessible and I wanted to show the fantasy fashion can bring. Consuelo Castiglioni seems really sincere and cares about what she does and I appreciated that.”

In November, the last collaboration between the Swedish mega retailer and an Italian fashion brand, the collection Versace For H&M, was a success.
